Dr. Mize earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he also completed his pathology residency. Dr. Mize is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He has special interests in thyroid pathology and fine-needle aspiration with more than 10 years experience. Dr. Mize also has strong interests in GI, urologic, and head and neck pathology.
Dr. Sara Mustafa is a board certified Anatomic, Clinical, and Cytopathologist. She completed medical school at King Fahad Medical City. After completing an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at Howard University, she did a Cytopatology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. This was followed by a Hematopathology Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University. This combination of skills makes Dr. Mustafa a valuable addition to the fine needle aspiration team.
